We are so thankful that your Gentle Giants Dog Food made such a dramatic difference and we have our happy active dog back. We thought we were going to have to put her down.---------------
Hi Tracy & Burt,
I just wanted to thank you for speaking with me twice and your expert advice on feeding Tidbit (age 13) and Skipper (age 6).
Tidbit was diagnosed with Glomerulonephritis. The vet put her on Enalapril and prescription Science Diet food. It smelled so bad my husband didn't even want it in the house. Tidbit didn't want to eat it either. The vet then put her on Royal Canin Urinary SO.
Tidbit was getting listless and didn't even get up when people came into the house. Not like her at all.
When I took her back to the vet she said Tidbit's blood pressure was high and put her on Amlodipine. No wonder it was high with all the salt in the food to make her drink more!
I saw your ad on TV about Gentle Giants Dog Food and how long your dogs live. That is what I wanted for my dogs.
I went back to the vet and told her if my dog was going to die I was going to go off the prescription food and try your food. I did wonder if she would be able to tolerate the chicken since she gets colitis from meat.
Both dogs were so excited when we brought the bag into the house. There was a lot of sniffing and tail wagging. Surprise - there was no horrible smell when I opened the bag! They finished their meal in about a minute and a half. There has been no diarrhea from the colitis.
Tidbit and Skipper look forward to their meals now. Within one month Tidbit's coat changed. When her vet checked her blood and urine tests, everything had improved! She was amazed.
Tidbit now has the pep pf a 6 year old dog! She and Skipper run around the house again and play. She actually pulls me again when I walk her. She is so exuberant that she jumps over all three steps to get on the deck.

Skipper is so happy to have his playmate back. We adopted him two years ago and he is very bonded to Tidbit.
